Lvn Bridge Program

A CNA (certified nurse assistant) can become a LVN by doing the CAN to LVN bridge program. Similarly an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nursing) nurse can become a RN (Registered nurse) by taking up the LVN to RN bridge course.

The requirement for LVN to RN bridge course is a candidate with a license to work as an LVN. Credits are given to the experience gained by the candidate as an LVN.

After completing the LVN to RN bridge program, the candidate can apply for the license of RN.A candidate is awarded the associate of science in nursing degree after completion of the bridge course.

To apply for LVN to RN Bridge program it is necessary that a candidate has studied anatomy, physiology and microbiology as part of their LVN course. They should have also completed English composition course and elementary algebra.

A LVN to RN bridge course requires passing the nursing examination in the school to which the candidate has applied. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to get admission into the bridge program.

Part-time, full time and even online courses are available for the LVN to RN bridge program. These courses are three-credit courses. Accelerated programs are offered to those with a very good experience.
